Smok Morph 3 Review

Posted by Pure E-Liquids on 9th Aug 2024

For intermediate and particularly advanced vapers, there is nothing more satisfying than an impressive vape mod; that can deliver stellar cloud performance, immense flavour and the power output to match.

Whether with an internal or dual external set of batteries, a high-quality vape mod needs to keep up with the expectations of an experienced vaper. One device that may do that, and the purpose of today’s review, is from the original market-leading mod producer – Smok – with the Smok Morph 3.

We evaluate how it competes with other box mods in the 2024 vape market by providing a comprehensive test and review.

Is the Smok Morph 3 a Unique Vape Mod?

Regarding design, power and performance, the Smok Morph 3 is state-of-the-art but not brand new we have never seen before. However, it is still one of the best mods we’ve encountered this year because of the amazing flavour!

Because of their improvement in coil quality and the fact that the work Smok has done on the design means the Morph 3 is potentially even better than the majority of single coil rebuildable tanks, which some vapers prefer.

With a large 0.96-inch TFT display, softening leather side grip where the fire button is located and boasting a new T-Air Sub-Ohm tank, the Morph 3 offers some great little features to supplement the consistent taste it delivers from high VG vape juice.

How Does the Smok Morph 3 Vape?

Considering the sometimes unreliability of previous Smok mods, with leaking tanks, or coils that burn too fast, the Morph 3 delivers surprisingly fantastic results.

There is great airflow and cloud production as we’ve come to expect from Smok mods, but we can’t differentiate too much between the previous TFV range of tanks Smok released in the past. Except for it now being top airflow, the design is quite similar.

Although the new T-Air tank is slightly on the loud side, it more than makes up for this little inconvenience with some of the best flavour we have experienced from testing a range of Sub-Ohm tanks.

This is because of the new coils, which don’t seem to produce a burnt taste unlike some advanced mods despite high temperatures and power output. The T-Air produces a huge amount of cloud and can ramp up to very high temperatures if that’s what you’re after.

However, even though Smok say the tank can reach 230W, we don’t understand why they would recommend that with a dual 18650 battery mod, as it’s simply not enough power to support that high of a wattage.

Design And Functionality Explained

The design of the Morph 3 by Smok and how it operates is very handy for all levels of vaping. With more of a rounded shape than a classic cube mod, the smaller curved shape of this mod is easy to grip and supports dual 18650 batteries.

It’s also extremely comfortable because of the foam leather material! A big plus is that you fire the button from the side of the device instead of the front panel where it has been in the past, often located near the menu buttons.

No matter which positions you hold the mod in, the grip and shape of the device support comfort in all ways when firing the device.

The TFT display itself highlights a range of useful features to allow the selection of your output mode, what coil resistance you have, the remaining amount of battery and other handy bits of data when vaping.

Another bonus is the removable and replaceable 810 drip tip for all levels to pick the mouthpiece you want for an optimum vape.

Any Disadvantages From The Smok Morph 3?

  • If Smok wanted to offer a vape that can reach 230W of power, they should have not only selected coils that can reach this level but provided space for 21700 dual batteries too

Verdict

To summarise, we think Smok are back at the top of their game, rewinding back the clock from when they used to produce the best mods such as the Smok Alien. The cloud performance is huge, and the flavour is immaculate from start to finish of your coil life. It feels like they have upped their game and reliability, which is what fans always demanded from Smok – that they had fewer issues in terms of leaking.

Because the flavour is so good, and this mod offers dual external 18650 batteries, it means you can vape Sub-Ohm clouds all day! But for future mods, they must think about supporting 21700 batteries if Smok wants to offer the type of output they state this Morph 3 can reach.

From our testing, it’s not advised to try and reach 230W as a maximum output. But it does reach 200W comfortably providing you use the lowest resistance Sub-Ohm coil from the TA range.

The device looks great with a very large display, offers a range of features such as temperature control, and is very easy to navigate.

Overall, we think it’s an excellent Sub-Ohm mod if you wish to step up from pod kits and even great for those who usually like rebuildable coils because the flavour is so damn impressive. Great job Smok, and keep them coming!

For intermediate and particularly advanced vapers, there is nothing more satisfying than an impressive vape mod; that can deliver stellar cloud performance, immense flavour and the power output to match.
