How Does the Voopoo Argus G2 Vape?

The ‘problem’ is with pod kits that thousands are being released on an annual basis by not just Voopoo but the likes of Elf Bar, Vaporesso, Innokin and so many more big brands. So, it’s difficult to judge what makes a vape kit stand out when there is so much to compare against, and the technology is not changing too much.

After all, it’s a device for vaping nicotine, with the same layout and operational design for all kits i.e. you puff on the mouthpiece and liquid is turned into vapour to inhale and exhale.

What we can say about the Argus G2 compared to not just other devices from the Argus range made by Voopoo but many other pod kits we have come across is its remarkable reliability, particularly with the 0.7 Ohm pod you get with the kit.

The coils are fixed with the 0.7 Ohm and the 0.4 Ohm (also with the pod kit), so you have two options to choose from, which is always a welcome bonus when you buy a vape kit, including everything you need.

In terms of longevity, you get plenty of life from both sets of coils upon sustained testing from our team, which is great from Voopoo, so therefore good value for money.

Plus, as a bonus, the flavour is consistently excellent for more than 1000 puffs, as a bare minimum.

Voopoo has produced a vape kit that functions very well, performs to a high level throughout the coil life and offers a classic mouth-to-lung vape with the 0.7 Ohm pod, which is our favourite.

But some among you may prefer the looser MTL or restrictive direct lung 0.4 Ohm pod. That’s the beauty of vaping vs smoking – you have more choices and a greater chance of kicking nicotine habits because you can alter the performance, giving you a higher possibility of reducing your nicotine levels.

Design And Functionality Explained

With an animation display showing a cool flame when you vape (you can’t see it while vaping, but others can) and a full light-up show of LED on either side of your screen (which can also optionally be turned off), we love how the front panel looks with the Voopoo Argus G2.

It's one of, if not the best, displays we have seen on a pod kit of this size and frame. In addition, the size is just right to fit in the pocket or bag, while the mouthpiece is interchangeable with other Argus kits like the Argus P2 (brought out at the same time).

Operating the device is just as simple and effective as the overall design, with a clear menu displaying the simple functions needed to turn the device on or off, reset the puff counter or light up/turn off the side LED display. Everything you need to know is displayed very well visually on the display and it’s not overcomplicated, making it the perfect kit for a brand-new vaper switching from smoking.

Here is a breakdown of the elementary operations needed to get you started:

1. Press the fire button on the side of the device to turn it on.

2. Then proceed to press this same button five times to enter the menu.

3. From there you can lock the device to auto-draw only and lock the menu.

4. In addition, it’s possible to clear the puff counter, turn off the device by holding the fire button on the menu’s power off function and exit the menu.

5.Click the fire button three times and the wattage output on the main display will flash, then change in 1-watt increments up to the max of 30W before the Argus G2 round robins back to the lowest wattage. Once you decide which level you want, leave for a few seconds and the number will stop flashing and hold in place.

Any Disadvantages to the Device?

• The only negative compared to the Argus P2 released at the same time is that the battery capacity is slightly bigger by 100mAh as 1100 compared to 1000mAh with the G2, but the design and screen are much nicer with the G2.

The Voopoo Argus G2 is an impressive kit and offers many features that you could want from a vape kit, regardless of what nicotine strength you need or what stage of the journey to quit you are on.

It delivers great results consistently and boasts a large enough battery and a stunning visual display. Filling with e-liquid is easy and the kit is available in lots of different colours.

We would say based on the style and power output, it’s targeted more towards beginner to intermediate vapers who aren’t seeking large vape clouds but simply seek good flavour, a reliable device that’s lightweight and quick to charge.
